Finally, after 10 years, Elon Musk – the CEO of Tesla, has revealed the car that he hopes will bring electric cars to the masses – the Tesla Model 3. Everyone is hyped about this car that could change the future of cars!
So lets get right in to it. We will tell you everything you need to know about the Tesla Model 3:
- The Tesla Model 3 will deliver 215 miles (346 kilometers) of range from one charge.
- Prices for the car will start at just $35,000 (30,719 euros) .
- Elon Musk says: “you will not be able to buy a better car for $35,000, even with no options.” And the Model 3 will be one of the safest cars in the world.
- Deliveries for it will begin at the end of next year – 2017.
- Tesla , in just 24 hours had over 180.000 pre-orders for the Model 3. And now they are over 400.000. Buyers only need to deposit $1000.
- The base car will do 0-60 mph (0-100 km/h) in less than 6 seconds, with versions that go much faster than that.
- All Model 3 cars will include support for Tesla’s high-speed Supercharging network.
- Five adults will fit comfortably in the car — “comfortably is the important part here,” says Musk.
- In the middle there is a 17-inch landscape touchscreen in every Model 3.
