Urban cycling, nightlife and clubbing are a key part of the dynamic nature of Berlin, the capital of Germany. The new fitness center “Becycle” in the popular Berlin district of Mitte is a combination of two key fun elements of the city – cycling and clubbing.
This urban fitness center specializes in spinning bike fitness classes, and owners like atmosphere that will be fun and relaxing, informal and above all it will not resemble standard gyms. The halls remind a lot of entertainment night clubs in a more mystical atmosphere, while other rooms are relaxing, comfortable and pleasant just like a cool cafe shop in a relaxed part of town.

The fitness center was done in a minimalist style by architects and designers “Götz + Bilchev Architekten” and “Lien Tran Interior Design and DRAA”.The space at the same time looks informal and luxurious, with materials such as marble and gilded reception metallic cupboards in wardrobes, which create industrial atmosphere. Retaining industrial note, ventilation ducts are exposed and covered in black, and the walls are left uncoated, while the red brick in some parts is only covered in white.
The part for cardio bikes looks like a disco, displayed in black on the walls and floor, with strong efficient lights that create real luminous show during workouts. This interior creates a dynamic atmosphere that encourages even more for committed exercise.
Another hall for yoga is colored in neutral tones with elements of light wood and white walls, and large windows that allow natural light to get inside so that the interior is bright and pleasant to exercise.
Besides the section for exercise space there are several areas for relaxation, a coffee shop at the entrance with comfortable sofas and armchairs and a large table that can be used as a work space. This area becomes small and informal co-working part of the joint work that creative people can use to complete a part of the obligations before or after exercise. The center has a small café for refreshments, which can also be enjoyed regardless of whether the date is provided for exercise or not.
With these features and way of arranging the interior, fitness center exceeds the limit of space for exercise and becomes a social place for spontaneous socializing, work and meet new people in one of Europe’s most beautiful cities.
