The world is filled with amazing things, and sometimes you don’t know where to look first. We are all fascinated by human masterminds behind amazing infrastructures, and now we show you an amazing water bridge design that is just really cool and smart.
2002 is the year that the world loved the Veluwemeer Aqueduct – the cool masterpiece from a few really good engineers that connected the Netherlands mainland and Flevoland(artificial island).
There were a lot of talks and a lot of ideas discussed. Something like an underwater tunnel or an ordinary bridge.
But those ideas were very expensive to build plus would take much more time to finish. So this is the idea that was perfect, cheap , and it can allow both ground and water transport move without traffic jams or worries.
This is a really cool idea, and also looks amazing, it looks like an illusion from above. This is a water bridge. And on top of that, pedestrians can go through this water bridge too. There are specially equipped sidewalks on both sides of this highway.
This project is all done and more than 30,000 cars cross this 10 feet ( ~3 meter) deep bridge, and boats can easily travel over it.
