1.Search The Images On The Profile

First thing you can do is Image Search the photos that are posted on this profile. This is the fastes and the most accurate thing you can do to catfish a profile. Just take the profile picture (Download/Copy URL) and go to Google images and Upload/Paste URL in the search box.  After you have done that , you will see the real source of the image. If there aren’t any results, that means the person is using real images.

2.Number Of Images

photosMost of the fake profiles have just one profile picture, and maybe 2-3 other ones… This is a big sign that the profile is fake… On Facebook , people post lots of images, and having just 2-3 on a profile is not that convincing  that the profile is real.

3.Activity On Timeline

Fake profiles often do not have any content or posts on their timelines. Or they do not have any info about them, just the basic ones, which is not a good sign that they are real.

4.Most Of The Fake Profiles Are Female

Many studies have shown that more than 50% of the fake profiles are Female. That does not mean that they are made by women , just that the profile gender is female. Most of the times the profile contains provocative photos and names…

5.Check The Friend List On The Profile
